Google+ Crafting Communities

crafterminds google community link-up

Today in our Crafterminds Chat, we talked about Google+ Communities. Different than you personal profile in Google+, and your blog’s page in Google+, a community is just that – a community. A meeting place for like-minded individuals who want to share information, ask questions, and communicate around a specific topic. A google+ community is an online campfire. A watercooler. A bar. Your community is what you make it!

You might want to start a Google+ community for your niche. Depending on your topic and your time available, you may want to join an existing community or communities. You don’t have to be the moderator to get a lot out of a community!

If you have a community, add it below. And if you see a community you’d love to join – please do!

Thank you for your post! I have been exploring Communities, but I don’t understand where one goes to find anwers once we ask a question. Can ya tell I am prea new to Google +? LOL I will keep exploring and figure it out I am sure. Either way, I am having fun doing what I am doing!

I am new to Google+, still trying to figure out how to use it! Thanks for these helpful tips – I did not know about Communities and have now joined a few!

  3. I’m new to the blogging world also. I’m still trying to figure out the comment thing. I haven’t had any comments made and not sure if I did something wrong with set up. Or if nobody has really commented on anything.

Thanks for sharing! I have a Google+ ID, but I really didn’t know how to use it. Nice to see that there are some like-minded communities in there.
